Cuddle time on the couch with Buster's favorite person and our Lucia face. He makes a great pillow. :)

More Adoption Events
Another day, another adoption event. Buster is still not a fan of the busy adoption events, but he is a trooper. He met some very nice people, had a bunch of treats, and showed off his shy sweetness. Here he is with his favorite buddy, my boyfriend Will, waiting for the adoption event to start. He is a cutie pie.

Sushi?!
Buster wasn't adopted today, but he is hoping for better luck tomorrow! Here he is under my chair while we all enjoyed post-adoption event sushi on the patio. He is such a good boy.

Study Buddy
As a grad student, I spend a big chunk of my life working at my desk in the den. Buster is always at my feet keeping me company. The big dog bed next to my desk was occupied, so he decided to be silly in the corner.

Lunch Date
I left the living room to whip up a quick lunch and Buster followed me into the kitchen and laid right down on my feet. This big boy is all love.

Potty Progress!
Buster is such a smart boy! He hasn't had an accident in the house since we brought him home on Saturday! That's two days accident free so far! He is also learning new treats and already sits beautifully. This guy is going to be a joy to train.
Besides all of his other progress, Buster has also had a bath, a good brushing, and an ear cleaning. He was the perfect boy. Whatever you need to do. He just sits there and lets you do it. Such a sweet guy.

Adoption Event
Buster gave adoption events another try today and did much better! People were able to pet him and while he was still shy, he enjoyed the attention and extra ear scratches. Once he had a few minutes to settle in, he was all about nap time and snoozing at my boyfriend's feet. He is such a mellow sweetheart. I'll be surprised if someone doesn't scoop him up soon...

Meeting Buster
I met Buster for the first time today at one of LDCRF's adoption events. My foster Deena (love her!) just found a wonderful family to share her life with and I couldn't leave without a new foster to help fill that giant void, even if only a little. I had a couple dogs that I was thinking about and just when I thought I knew who I was taking home, well there was Buster. I hadn't noticed him during the entire event. Apparently, he had been hiding behind a bush for most of it. They were about to put him on the van and I said "Wait, who is that? That one! I want that one!" So I snatched Buster up and we headed to the car. Buster stood by my car door for a moment. He looked at me, then looked into the car, then back at me... I asked him if he wanted to get in and then, as if I had just given him permission, he jumped right in and laid down on the backseat. He looked at me with a hint of a grin and a dangling tongue. I think he knew good stuff was coming. I blasted the a/c and turned on the radio, Buster happily looked out the window as if pleased to have a chauffeur to show him around Fairfax.
When we got home, Buster was greeted by my boyfriend and our three dogs. He was absolutely perfect at introductions. He let everyone sniff him and wagged his big fluffy tail at all of the attention. We all went for a quick walk and he was instantly accepted into our pack of pups. Apollo, our pit bull puppy, and Lucia, our shy shepherd, are particularly in love with him. Mamah, our bossy JRT, has really taken to him and likes to give him kisses. He also met our kitten fosters tonight and was very good with them, so he should do well with kitties.
Buster is already playing with the other dogs, chewing on antlers, and enjoying the comforts of giant dog beds. He is still working on housetraining, but otherwise he is the perfect house guest and such a good boy!
